Relato de un proceso de diseño: Érase una vez una tarjeta de visita.../ Story of a process design: Once upon a time a business card...

Es verano...los días son más largos y las posibilidades de interacción social aumentan...el "afterwork" está en su plenitud y las reuniones de networking en su ritmo más intenso...qué mejor momento si no éste, para establecer vínculos y presentar ideas a través de una nueva imagen.

Desde la semana anterior he estado trabajando en el nuevo diseño de tarjetas de presentación para Ángel de Papel, bajo el criterio de materializar en una idea sencilla pero a la vez elaborada, los conceptos de innovación, elegancia, sobriedad, lujo, exclusividad y uno de los valores más importantes en nuestra filosofía de empresa: la fusión entre técnica y arte hecho a mano, como factor que define el estilo de la marca.

Espero haberlo logrado...y si no, al menos haberme aproximado...al final, lo bonito del arte es la capacidad de reinventar las cosas una y otra vez.

It's summer...the days are longer and the opportunities for social interaction increases...the "afterwork" is in full swing and networking meetings are more often...what a great time to establish  links and introduce ideas through a new image. 

Since the past week, I've been work on a new design for Angel de Papel business card. Thinking about a simple but well done idea, with concepts of innovation, elegance, simplicity, luxury, exclusivity and one of the most important values in our company's philosophy: the fusion of technique and handmade art, as a factor that defines the brand's style.

I hope I have succeeded...if not, at least, have come close...at the end, the beauty of art is the ability to reinvent things over and over again.

Primera parte: Trabajo de imprenta finalizado! Anverso y reverso con impresión gris en relieve sobre papel metalizado blanco.
Part I: Print job finished! Front and back with raised print in gray on white metallic paper.

Anverso compuesto por un patrón generado a partir de nuestro logosímbolo. La sencillez del reverso enfatiza la jerarquía de los elementos visuales que componen la marca.
Front consists of a pattern generated from our logo. The back's simplicity emphasizes the hierarchy of visual elements that make up the brand.

Segunda parte: Trabajo manual.
Pensando en las palabras que definen la marca, y buscando transmitir el valor del arte hecho a mano con algo delicado y sutil, decidí diseñar un "Ángel de Papel" en origami que llevase en su interior la información básica de la empresa.
El diseño tenía que cumplir con una característica especial: la figura debería ser fácilmente plegable y desplegable a fin de poder visualizar dicha información.

Part II: Handwork.
Thinking about the words that define the brand "Angel de Papel"and looking how to deliver the value of delicate and subtle handmade art, I designed and created a "Paper Angel" in origami that carries within the company's information.
Also, the design had to meet one extra special feature: be easy to fold and unfold in order to see the company's information.
